Recreation Swim • Register • View Cart •

Recreation/Open Swim will be offered on Fridays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM on Fridays, August  1 August 8 at Los Alamitos High School Pool. Recreation Swim will be offered from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the MWR Aquatic Training Center on the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos on Fridays, August 15, August 22, and August 29. Recreation/Open Swim is FREE, but reservations are required to be made ahead of time. Each participant coming to recreation swim must have their own reservation. 

All participants under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult one-on-one at all times in the water, and the adult must always remain within arm's reach of the child.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the pool at all times; if the child is over the age of 5 and can swim on their own, they may be in the water unaccompanied. This is not a drop-off/drop-in program. 

All participants who wish to enter the deep end are required to take a swim test. They must be able to swim one full length of the pool unassisted and without struggle. If a participant passes the swim test, they will receive a wristband and be allowed into the deep end of the pool. If the participant fails the swim test, they must remain in the shallow end.

United States Coast Guard-approved life jackets are allowed. Staff will check to make sure each life jacket is USCG-approved prior to being allowed in the pool.
