Brighten your week with fresh flowers! Discover how to make creative, vibrant flower arrangements that will impress your friends and family. Each week will feature a new project. From building a bud vase to designing a special gift box. All materials included. No experience required.Attendance Policy:  For classes 6 weeks or less, participants will be removed from the class after 2 absences For classes 7 weeks or more, participants will be removed from the class after 3 absences
 
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Spring Into Art - Spring Into Art
Join us to celebrate the Spring season of growth! Enjoy exciting games, fun activities, and many different projects. Participants will explore different aspects of nature such as plants, flowers, and animals. We will create clay-flower pots, canvas paintings, and many more nature-inspired projects!

In this class, we will focus on getting comfortable with watercolor painting skills and techniques and enjoy the process of painting. The basics of materials, tools, techniques and color will be explored with demonstrations. Join us to learn tips and tricks in watercolors and creating your own masterpieces. Skill level- beginner to intermediate. Students provide their own supplies; a list of supplies will be sent.

Join Recreation Staff as they lead monthly activities for participants requiring additional needs, i.e., support or accommodations due to physical, mental, or developmental disabilities, and their families. Participants must be accompanied by an aide or parent/guardian. This class teaches both the average person & professional how to initially respond to a cardiac/respiratory arrest. Students will learn CPR for all ages (adults, children, & infants), use of an AED and techniques for relief of choking. Students will receive an American Heart Association certification card via email upon successful completion of the class.*Material Fee: $20

Boxing for PD is a non-contact class designed to help older adults find a fun way to build strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance through a boxing program. The class is open to everyone but is especially suited for older adults seeking to manage symptoms related to Parkinson's Disease. The class is led by a personal trainer affiliated with the non-profit organization Parkinson's Exercise Programs For You (PEP4U).
