Boxing for PD is a non-contact class designed to help older adults find a fun way to build strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance through a boxing program. The class is open to everyone but is especially suited for older adults seeking to manage symptoms related to Parkinson's Disease. The class is led by a personal trainer affiliated with the non-profit organization Parkinson's Exercise Programs For You (PEP4U).

This low-impact exercise class incorporates seated stretch, standing or seated strength training, along with balance and coordination movements all while grooving to fun, inspiring music! This class is free because of the generosity of the Los Alamitos Foundation. Please bring a caregiver if you need assistance. Registration is required for all participants and their caregiver. Attendance Policy:  For classes 6 weeks or less, participants will be removed from the class after 2 absences For classes 7 weeks or more, participants will be removed from the class after 3 absences

Brighten your week with fresh flowers! Discover how to make creative, vibrant flower arrangements that will impress your friends and family. Each week will feature a new project. The Los Alamitos Photography Club is a group of local enthusiasts who meet once a month. This club shows individuals photographs from current personal projects, works in progress, or assignments. All skill levels are welcome to participate. Come take part in discussions on photographic techniques, lighting, printing, photo shop post production, and many other items of interest.

Ballroom Heals Smooth nights is a signature wellness dance experience that brings the elegance and intimacy of evening floor to life through three iconic styles: Night club 2 step, Tango, and Rumba. Each class flows through the connected, easy grace of Nightclub 2 step, the bold and deliberate drama of Tango, and the warm, expressive plus of Rumba, building posture, balance, coordination, and emotional connection. Led by mobility expert Peter Krajewski, each session follows Ballroom Heals' signature structure, purposeful warm up, layered skill development, guided practice, and cool down.

This watercolor class is thoughtfully designed for participants seeking a creative and enriching experience. Suitable for beginners as well as those with prior art experience. This course provides structured instruction in watercolor techniques, including washes, blending, color mixing, and simple composition. Participants will create paintings inspired by nature, seasonal themes, and everyday subjects while working at a comfortable, unhurried pace. This class encourages relaxation, creativity, and community. Materials: Students bring their own supplies. A list of supplies will be provided.

Come join us as we move and build strength and endurance to some fun and groovy music. We will start off with a good morning stretch and get the blood flowing with light low impact movements. Part of the class will be done standing and the other half seated. The health benefits of movement and light weight training is essential and vital during older adulthood.
